Teabag folding, also called kaleidoscope folding, uses several small identical squares of paper, folded exactly the same way. These are either interlocked, or nested, together or they lay side by side. The end result is a medallion which can be used on cards or as ornaments.
Originally, the papers used were the envelopes from European teas, whence the name Teabag Folding. Now, however, decorated papers are comercially available for the craft.

Here are some of the early folds I did. Some of them are done using commercial teabag papers and others use giftwrap. Where the medallions are the same fold using different papers, I've scanned them as a set. A few scans are mixed folds.
